Goal Setting & Consistency
Picture

Happy New Year!

I sent an email a couple weeks ago about ditching resolutions and embracing habit building to achieve your goals. Today I want to go through my process of goal setting and establish this years theme as Consistency.

A goal is the object of a persons ambition or effort. Wherever you place your efforts is where you will go. Without thinking of a specific goal it is important for us to know that your goals only matter if they are where you are consistently placing your effort. A goal that has no intentional action plan is merely a wish.

Consistent effort both positive and negative with drive change that aligns with your aim.

This is part of why our poor habits become so hard to break. We place more consistent effort into solidifying these habits overtime.

Here are the questions I ask myself and others before deciding on appropriate goals to set:
  1. What is your life purpose/What are you most passionate about?
  2. What are your priorities?
  3. What are your values?

If you have not contemplated these areas before they will pose difficulty, however, these questions will help you explore the deeper meaning behind your life. To establish goals that have a higher probability of success they must align with your answers to these questions.

Here is how I answer these based on my professional life:
  1. What is your life purpose/What are you most passionate about?
    1. To Teach Our Community How To Live A Health Forward Lifestyle
  2. What are your priorities?
    1. Connecting with our clients and community
    2. Providing value to our clients
    3. Leading by example
  3. What are your values?
    1. Honor Individuality
    2. Honor Our Team
    3. Honor The Truth
    4. Honor The Long-Game
    5. Honor The Coach
    6. Honor Teach, Learn, Move, Create

One of my goal this years is to provide consistent and valuable education to our clients and community. Specifically I will be sending out 1 email newsletters and posting 3-5 short videos each week on our social medias.

For now grab a pen and paper and place some effort into answering these questions. Next week I will go through examples of how to stablish habit building as your foundation for achieving your goals.
