They are Controlling Us (Enough is Enough)

Each week, my goal is to provide you with educational insights and practical tips to support your health journey. I strive to share positive and empowering messages. Yet, I feel compelled to address a pressing issue that affects us all.

As a Father, Coach, and American I encourage you to listen to this podcast and help  push our future generations to a better place.

The Influence of Profit-Driven Industries on Our Health

For over a century, pharmaceutical companies, big food corporations, and government entities have played a significant role in the decline of American health. Their influence, driven by profit, has shaped our understanding of what is “healthy,” often to the detriment of our well-being.

Consider these questions:
• How do pharmaceutical companies generate revenue?
• What is the profit model for the food industry?
• Would a healthier population benefit or harm their bottom line?

Reflecting on these questions reveals a stark reality: the healthier we become, the less these industries profit from us. This raises a critical question--do these companies truly have our best interests at heart?

A Disconnect from True Health

While I have long been aware of this conflict of interest, I’m encouraged to see more voices, like Casey Means, bringing it to the forefront. She highlights a troubling disconnect between individuals and their own health, perpetuated by modern healthcare systems that often obscure essential health information and limit our ability to make informed decisions.

Moreover, our food systems, influenced by large corporations, prioritize convenience and shelf life over nutritional value. This shift has contributed to the rise of chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and obesity.
Our connection to the natural, health-promoting properties of whole, fresh foods is being compromised by toxic food practices.

A Call to Action
The evidence is clear: the marketing and policies of pharma and big food companies have significantly impacted our health. It is essential to reclaim our right to make informed health choices by advocating for transparency, supporting local and sustainable food systems, and demanding systemic changes that prioritize health over profit.

What Can You Do?
  1. Educate Yourself: Understand the sources of your food and the implications of pharmaceutical treatments. Knowledge is power.
  2. Support Local: Opt for fresh, local produce and products from farmers’ markets whenever possible.
  3. Advocate for Change: Engage in discussions about food and health policies with those closest to you and the local organizations you frequent.

Together, we can foster a healthier future and challenge the systems that have contributed to our current health crisis. Your awareness and actions can drive meaningful change.

Thank you for your commitment to better health.
