Thank you to everyone who came out to last weekends Nutrition Seminar! We had a great turn out and a fantastic discussion around developing quality nutrition habits! For those of you that missed it we will be hosting another seminar in January! In the meantime below is a short clip from the seminar. Check out this clip from last week's nutrition seminar! Do you struggle with weight management? Are you consuming enough nutrients? Human body composition has long been thought of as a function of calories coming in versus calories going out. This theory gives us a starting point for determining your energy needs each day, however, falls short when we assess long-term results and sustainability. Nutrient density with appropriate caloric balance is essential in building muscle and losing body fat. Nutrient density comes from real food sources. The issue we find with calories in versus calories out is that while consuming adequate calories there is no focus on the nutrient intake we need to thrive as humans. Sadly, the story I discussed in the seminar is commonplace for many women. I am not exaggerating when I say that most of the women I work with are undernourished and the only results they get is worse health. Here are a few of the side effects from low nutrient diets:
The days of eat less move more are over. It is time to start focus on increasing your nutrient intake, building a strong resilient body and getting after life with the mental and physical vigor you deserve. Your Body Composition is not a function of your caloric intake but rather an expression of your nutrient density. If you are someone who can relate to the message above I want to hear from you. You don’t have to continue struggle with weight loss and the downstream health effects it has on your body. Reach out to me and get ready to take back your health.
