April 29 Mommy and Me Fitness
Welcome spring during our special 6-week offering, as Heather guides you and your little one (ages 2-5) through songs, games and stories that will increase your child’s ability to:
*Recognize and identify parts of the body (head, shoulders, arms, legs, etc.)
*Understand and respect personal space
*Make connections between movement and language
*Use movement to express emotions
*Demonstrate movement concepts such as directions, levels, pathways, and shapes
*Practice non-locomotor movements such as bending, stretching, swinging, and twisting
*Practice locomotor movement such as jumping, hopping, marching, and skating (which prepares for skipping)
*Learn basic yoga and Pilates exercises within the framework of the lessonHeather often use props such as balls, hoops and scarves to add to the fun and allow for creativity and cooperative play as well. Moms will find they get a bit of a work-out as well as a special way to bond with their child. JOIN US!
May 11 Strengthen Your Practice- Building Strength and Endurance
10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
In this workshop, Jimmy will begin to introduce techniques to take an existing practice to the next level. Drills and exercises that will build strength, paired with the awareness to keep stability throughout the shoulders and core, but at the same time maintaining fluidity in the body.
We will work towards jumping/floating up and back, focusing on control and safety with these techniques that will not only lead to arm balances and inversions but will add strength to any practice.

May 15th Little Bugs Yoga
Classes will be held on Tuesday's at 5:00 PM beginning May 15th and will last 6 weeks, costing $85.00.
In Little Bugs Yoga, Gwen will take your child on an “imaginary trip” to a secret garden by practicing traditional yoga techniques such as pranayama (breathing methods), asanas (poses), and meditation. Yoga can help your child learn and develop body awareness, manage stress through breathing and movement, build concentration, increase confidence and instill a positive self image.
May 16th Kidding Around Yoga
Classes will be held on Wednesday's at 6:45 PM beginning May 16th and will last 6 weeks, costing $85.00.
In Kidding Around Yoga, Gwen will help lay a foundation for your child’s ability to be in tune with their bodies. Strength, flexibility, mindfulness and solid sport performance are key components that we will work on with this course. Yoga can help your child learn and develop body awareness, manage stress through breathing and movement, build concentration, increase confidence and instill a positive self image.
May 18th Paws & Reflect: Puppy Yoga
Along with the Genesee County Humane Society, the yoga studio at Primary Prevention will be filled up with the snuggliest, most cuddle-able little pups for an hour and a half of 'down dogs', 'up dogs', and 'puppy presses'. Stay tuned for more information!
